Previously on our blog, we have discussed with you how you can care for your indoor plants during the summer months. Well, now the winter months are fast approaching, we want to share with you what you need to do to care for your indoor plants during the cooler winter months.
Now, for the most part, caring for your indoor plant does remain the same during all of the seasons of the year. But there are some things that you do need to take extra consideration.
Firstly, water your indoor plant. Yes, this is something that always needs to be done to keep your indoor plant alive. Regular watering is one of the best ways to keep your plant alive. However, it is important to note your indoor plant will not need to be watered as often as during the summer months as their soil will not be drying out as fast. You should only water your indoor plant when its soil becomes dry.
Next, your indoor plant will need sunlight. During the summer months, it is easy to give your summer plants an ample amount of sunlight. Whereas in the winter, sunlight is limited. This is when you want to have your indoor plant situated in an area of your home where a large amount of sunlight is bound to get it. We find that on your windowsill is the best option, this way you are giving them the highest amount of natural sunlight possible.
With regards to plant care, these are the main two aspects that you need to take extra care of when caring for your indoor plants during the winter months. Do not overwater them, and remember to give them as much natural sunlight as possible.
